at times, sheer circumstances of life can force us to explore areas of which we wouldn’t touch otherwise.
a paradoxical alchemy of human strength and human fragility.
human nature.
in connection with the earth, we hold within us both an incredible strength and a feeble fragility.
nothing exemplifies this like the force of life cutting through solid rock and dirt
we have, within us, the strength of solid earth.
but even still, earth and rock are split by something as gentle as a breeze.
or a small stream of water.
so, most of us are canyons.
rock that has been cut a bit deeper than we’d like to admit.
split by the vulnerability and fragility of ourselves.
i guess what i’m trying to say, is that at the end of it all, canyons are pretty.
